KUALA LUMPUR ACCOMODATION

![]() A little longer than just a connection?
This chain of budget hotels is part of the Tony Fernandez empire, the CEO of Air Asia hence the similar colours. We have used the one at KLIA2 a number of times and found it very reasonable for a night-between-flights-stop-over. No frills, but free wifi a comfortable bed, TV and your own bathroom for around $80AUD a night, it's a bargain. After exiting customs, go straight ahead and slightly to the left to a Baskin Robbins, look for a Car Park Entrance B sign and then the lift lobby next to this. Take the lift to CP3. Here you will see a Tune Hotel sign that will direct you from there. Or watch my youtube video here for a more detailed guide. |

We have stayed in 3 different accomodation places in KL, each within what is known as the Golden Triangle of KLCC and would stay nowhere else now. Everything is right there and if it's not, it's pretty easy to get to it reasonably cheaply. We have used Airbnb each time and have had very good experiences with them although we always do our research to try to find the best deal and the best position. It's amazing what you can pick up if you study the pics from the website, as long as they are truthful pics that is! Check out the view from the window in the background to see roughly what floor you will be on. How is the seating, it might look trendy and modern but is it big enough for 2 people to lounge on comfortably. Are the curtains in the bedroom thick or just the flimsy see through type. I don't know about you but I need a nice dark room to sleep late, not one where the moment the sun comes up it's like an atom bomb has gone off in the room! Also some owners will give much better rates for weekly or monthly terms so keep an eye out for them. You could end up with an extra weeks accomodation for only a few more dollars than what 3 weeks would be.
